How do I treat white fuzz at the bottom of an aquarium?
There is a whitish color to the bottom of a 50 gallon tank, it almost seems mucus mixed with fuzz, but not quite. appeared after we moved the tank. We have two major biological filter wheel with carbon inserts. If you have any idea of what it is or how to treat it, all would be helpful. A link to the images to confirm a possible diagnosis.
Start by making changes regular water with a siphon. This could be a number of things, but the first thing that comes to mind is a poor maintenance of the tank (rot sitting in the back).
